Focus on Fashion & Design II

Do you already know how to use a sewing machine? Have you done every sewing project you can think of and you’re ready for more? This intermediate sewing course offers students the opportunity to take their ideas and sewing skills to the next level.  Bring your own designs to life while you explore your personal style. Work independently and in small groups to explore color, texture and form.  You’re welcome to bring your own sewing machine or use ours.

Who It’s For

This course is for incoming sixth to eighth graders. To be successful in this class, you should know how to thread a sewing machine, change a needle and fill a bobbin.

Instructor

Shari Kaufman is a studio artist who displays her multimedia sculptures and hand-knit silver jewelry in galleries around the Northwest. As an instructor, she enjoys introducing students to a variety of art mediums and helping them explore their creativity.
