Instructor: Carl Faucher
This workshop will challenge students to approach writing through a variety of rhetorical modes, including narrative, poetry, short fiction, vignette and re-appropriation. Class time will be divided among mini-lessons, independent writing time, group work and one-to-one conferencing. Students will experience the interplay of each section as they reinforce the notion that good writing is a result of rewriting. Writers will complete and present a portfolio at the end-of-course publishing party.
Students should bring a laptop or word processing device every day.
This class is not for students who need remedial writing. Students should have a high level of English language proficiency.
