Green Energy

Instructors: Steve Howard and Sam Kell

Come learn about green energy alternatives, with a focus on wind-generated power. Use your engineering talents to build electricity-generating wind turbines and math to measure energy output and make designs more efficient. Other projects will include wind-powered vehicles, solar ovens and developing innovative approaches to meet our energy needs. Employ computer simulations and drafting software to create computerized design models. Present your projects to family and friends on the last day. This is a fun, hands-on process with a team emphasis! Students can also look forward to campus field trips and the chance to connect with real-world scientists.
